Welcome to Traveler's Tales Online

For a number of years I wrote a weekly newspaper column for The Williston Pioneer, a small town newspaper published in Williston, Florida. Over all I enjoyed the experience but there were a few things that bothered me. First and foremost, I HATE DEADLINES! I also felt the limitations of writing for a paper small enough that it had to be very conscious of who it angered in the community. I truly understand that this was a sad but true reality for a small home town newspaper. I hold no grudge towards the editor, Skipper Hammond. Not only did she create this newspaper all by herself but she did a pretty good job of running it too. I learned a ton from her and I will always be in her debt for allowing an inexperienced hack like myself to tell my stories and ramble on about life out here in the sand hills of North Central Florida.
